77 King Street

Location: Sydney
Year: 2008

Located on a prominent corner in Sydney’s CBD, this project involved the major refurbishment of an existing office tower, including additional floors and a new facade. A highly articulated masonry façade, with deep set glazing to King Street, responds to the adjoining streetscape, identifies the office tower entry, and encompasses paired columns that previously dominated the original facade. A glazed curtain wall facade to George Street relates to the active retail frontage. The completed tower accommodates 18 levels of commercial offices, and 5 levels of retail space, including the 3 level flagship Apple store to the podium.
